A new year, a new challenge.
An invitation arrived to join the Unicorn Club being run by Fyberspates and The Natural Dye Studio over at Ravelry.
There will be lots of riddles to solve from April to December. You have to purchase the yarn and attached to the label there will be a clue. After you have solved all nine you can be entered into a draw to win a large amount of yarn which will be hand dyed in colours of your choice. How could anyone resist.
To get out appetite whetted we had to solve a puzzle and then enter the word onto our order and if you were correct there would be a discount taken from the purchase (you didn't actually have to buy). As you can see I managed this task. My reward two 100 gram hanks of 100% Bluefaced Leicester aran from Fyberspates which I hope to make into a neckwarmer with matching handwarmers.
There will be a riddle each Friday and one per month as well as the main challenge. So now I'm working on the monthly quest which is proving great fun.

I resisted, as I did the Loopy Ewe sock club. I've just joined the Posh Yarn one, and any more is just greed!
I know what you mean, I also joined the Spirit Stitching Circle and Club for this year and I think I'm going to end up with more yarn than is good for a knitter!
